Neoprene sponges
Neoprene is a versatile synthetic rubber, similar to natural rubber in terms of tensile strength, resilience and abrasion resistance, but is more able to withstand direct sunlight, has better weathering resistance and a wider working temperature range (-20° to +110°C). Neoprene sponges have good resistance to oils, while resistance to petrol & other hydrocarbons is moderate. Resistance to water is not as good as natural rubber.
Available in sheets, blocks, rolls or as finished components, Neoprene sponge rubber comes in a range of densities and hardness, with or without flame retardant properties.
- Resists degradation from sun, ozone and weather
- Resists oils and many chemicals
- Wide working temperature range
- Displays outstanding durability
- Resistant to damage caused by flexing and twisting
